FastBoot Mode Started udc_start() AnDroid Error

Hi Frendz,

So you have been Flashing your Android phone a lot...If yes then you must have surely come across a situation (I Hope Not) where the only thing displayed on Screen is like the one below...

fastboot mode started
udc_start()

And the below message while connecting the USB :-

fastboot mode started
udc.start()
-- suspend --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
-- reset --
-- portchange --

Tip :- Always keep USB Mode Debugging enabled on your Android Phone.

If this is the case then don't panic, Here's the trick to Fix it on your own.

-> Have created a separate post with an easier tutorial to fix the Fastboot issue. Check it Out !

Pre-Requisites :
1. A Windows PC
2. AndroiD phone (Ofcouse) & itz USB Cable.
3. Android SDK.
4. JAVA Platform (JDK)
5. ClokworkMod Recovery.

Note :- Make Sure you have LG Drivers Installed in your PC...If not Download B2C from Here.

Steps To Be Followed :

1. Firstly download Android SDK & JDK (If not Pre-Installed) to your machine & install It.

2. Now unzip the ClokworkMod Recovery downloaded from Step 5 & copy Recovery.img file to the following path - ..Program Files/Android SDK/Tools.

3. Check whether fastmode.exe & AdbWinApi.dll files are available in the same Tools folder (Most probably it will not be Present). Download the same from below Links.

Download: fastboot, AdbWinApi

4. Now connect your Phone using USB Cable. You should be able to see the messgaes like (suspend, Reset etc). Open Command Prompt (cmd) & enter the below commands in the same order.

fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot

5. Usually after entering the 1st command Command prompt gets Stuck with message "Waiting to connect" (This Happened to Me). If yes..Try the below...

- Install the Drivers again from B2C Application & try again.
- Try from Different Machine preferable Windows XP.
- Download PDANet & Install the Application (Let it Install the Drivers) & try again.

6. If you were able to successfully execute the above Fastboot commands you would be now in Recovery mode.
That's it Flash a new ROM from your SD Card & Enjoy !!!

Tip :- Check out this area to know How to Flash ICS Rom in your LG Optimus One.

    1. Hi David,
U need to flash a ROM once the fastboot issue gets resolved, Seems like Debugging is disabled in your phone cos of which ur phone is not goin into recovery.
BTW for recovery mode u need to press the Power+Vol Down+Home button (incase u own a P500).

Suggest u access the below link, download Android Flash recovery tool & follow the instructions in the post.
